Robin A Brown
Principal

Robin Brown is the founder and principal of Spot On Ventures. With over 40 years’ experience in design, financing, construction, branding, permitting, community relations, condominium sales and design, leasing, product launches, and hands-on property management, Mr. Brown has acquired an extraordinarily unique skill set for urban, mixed-use property development in luxury, lifestyle, convention and limited-service hospitality projects.

Prior to launching Spot On Ventures, Mr. Brown spent 20 years with Four Seasons Hotels and served as General Manager of the Four Seasons Hotel Boston for 13 years, receiving numerous global accolades in his time there including the #1 Conde Nast ranking for guest service across hospitality and travel worldwide.

Mr. Brown’s reputation as an outstanding hotelier is matched only by his commitment to his community. He has served on numerous boards and advisory groups. Upon Mr. Brown’s retirement from the Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, he launched a foundation dedicated to support Alzheimer research in memory of his father, Jim Brown. Mr. Brown has served as a Director of The Boston Public Library Foundation, a Trustee for Life of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and was the Vice Chairman of The Back Bay Association for over ten years. Previously, Mr. Brown served as a Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of The Wang Center for the Performing Arts, Director of The Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce, an Overseer of the Boston Symphony Orchestra and on the Board of Directors of the Business Leadership Association of the Boston Symphony Orchestra.

Xander Brown

Head of Acquisitions and Capital Markets

Xander Brown is responsible for sourcing, evaluating and executing acquisitions and capital markets transactions for Spot On Ventures. Mr. Brown joined Spot On Ventures from RFR Holding, where he was Vice President responsible for the execution of real estate acquisitions throughout North America, acquiring properties in New York City, Seattle, San Francisco, Denver and Miami in his time at RFR.

Prior to RFR, Mr. Brown worked on the acquisitions teams at Rockpoint Group and Starwood Capital Group, where he conducted extensive underwriting, diligence and financing for acquisitions throughout the East Coast of the United States. In each of his roles, Mr. Brown has been responsible for underwriting, financing and closing acquisitions across all major asset classes, including hotels, office, multifamily, industrial and retail, and has been responsible for more than $3 billion / 4.5 million square feet of real estate transactions in his career. 

Mr. Brown received a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with concentrations in Finance & Real Estate and served as a two-term President of the Wharton Undergraduate Real Estate Club while at Penn.

Bill Taylor
Head of Operations and Management

Bill Taylor has a profound passion for service and deep understanding of the hospitality industry. In a distinguished career spanning 40 years, including over 30 years with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Bill has a proven track record of excellence working in North America, Europe, Asia and The Caribbean.

As a senior leader, he has operated some of the world’s most celebrated hotels including properties that have been recognized by Conde Nast and Andrew Harper as Best Hotel in North America. Under his guidance, each one of his properties achieved the distinguished Forbes 5-Star Award and while General Manager of the Four Seasons Hong Kong, the hotel was awarded in a single year, an unprecedented six Forbes 5-Star Awards for different categories. With a world record 8 Michelin stars under a single roof and two different bars achieving recognition among Asia’s 50 Best Bars, Bill knows exactly what it takes to create distinctive concepts that resonate with the world’s most discerning travelers, while building high performing teams, capable of providing unprecedented service experiences.

In a decade of work as a Regional Vice President Bill brought his unique ability to motivate and inspire teams to numerous luxury urban and resort properties across North America and Asia alike. Guiding hotels through every imaginable business cycle including; openings, closings, rebranding and repositioning. Providing hands-on, supportive leadership and guidance during economic growth cycles, recessions, natural disasters and geo-political events are part of Bill’s portfolio of noteworthy achievements.
Throughout his career, Bill has directly supervised several hundred millions of dollars of on-property renovations of luxury hotel projects, and as primary operational liaison, has contributed his deep understanding and knowledge to multiple feasibility, due-diligence and ground-up development projects.

Kendall Ballotti

Senior Asset Manager

As the Senior Asset Manager at Spot On Ventures, Ms. Ballotti plays a role in overseeing the financial, operational, and strategic aspects of the company's diverse portfolio, ensuring a high level of customer service across all properties. One notable achievement is The Verb Hotel's recognition on Trip Advisor, achieving a top ranking of #1 out of 100 hotels. In her role, Ms. Ballotti diligently prepares standardized financial and operational reports for investors, fostering accountability within the organization. Ms. Ballotti's responsibilities extend to managing the branding of seven F&B outlets, coordinating art programs, and crafting narratives for each of their projects. She recently collaborated with the development team of the Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport, guiding the procurement and installation of FF&E and OS&E for 1,054 guest-rooms and public areas, supporting its successful completion.

With several years of experience in the hospitality industry, Ms. Ballotti began her career with Associated Luxury Hotels International (ALHI), gaining valuable insights within the corporate office team.

Beyond her professional commitments, Ms. Ballotti actively participates in Cranberry Sunset Farm, a not-for-profit horse rescue therapeutic riding camp she co-founded. Her involvement includes organizing ongoing fundraising and development efforts, resulting in the impressive accomplishment of raising close to $12 million to date.

Ms. Ballotti is an alumna of Elon University, where she walked on to the university's Women’s Division I Soccer Team and contributed to the team’s success as a three-year team captain. Her dedication extends beyond the boardroom, reflecting a commitment to making a positive impact in both her professional and philanthropic endeavors.
