The Verb Hotel, Boston MA

Robin Brown, partnering with Samuels & Associates and Weiner Ventures, converted the Howard Johnson on Boylston Street in the Fenway District of Boston into an edgy 1950s inspired boutique hotel, The Verb Hotel.

The redevelopment focuses on a re-connection to the rich musical and artistic roots of Boston’s Fenway neighborhood. The hotel seamlessly melds Boston's past with the vibrancy and culture of Boston's modern-day Fenway neighborhood. While swimming in the pool, guests are close enough to catch a home run that soars over Fenway Park's Green Monster!

Each of the 93 guest rooms showcases one-of-a-kind music and pop-culture memorabilia straight from the archives of the famed Boston Phoenix and with the help of their acclaimed memorabilia enthusiast, David Bieber.

The hotel’s public spaces feature a museum of unique musical artifacts including promotional photos of eccentric Modern Lover's leader Jonathan Richman, backstage passes from the J. Giles Band, and torn ticket stubs to a local Blondie show.

Based on Robin Brown's personal relationship with Tim and Nancy Cushman, The Verb Hotel is now home to the James Beard award winning chef's second Boston restaurant, Hojoko.

Robin Brown is an investor and strategic advisor for The Verb Hotel and his company, Spot On Ventures, serves as the hotel's management company.
