Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport, Boston MA
The Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport will feature 1,054 guestrooms, over 100,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, 35,000 square feet of restaurant space, 5,000 square feet of retail space, and 8,500 square feet of spa/fitness space. Located on Summer Street across from the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center, the Omni will be the fourth-largest hotel in Boston and the largest in the Seaport District.
Omni Hotels & Resorts, owned by TRT Holdings, and New Boston Hospitality LLC, an entity comprised of The Davis Companies, Spot On Ventures, the Taylor Smith Group, Boston Urban Development and a group of local minority investors, have been designated by the Massachusetts Port Authority Board of Directors to develop this $550 million project.
The project’s design team is a joint venture of Boston-based Elkus Manfredi Architects and two minority-owned business enterprises, Moody Nolen and Stull and Lee. The construction management team is a 70/30 joint venture between John Moriarty & Associates and Janey Construction Management, a minority-owned business enterprise.
The Omni project officially broke ground on May 22, 2018 and is expected to create 1,100 construction jobs and 700 permanent jobs upon its completion in 2021.
